A Romantic Night in the City
By Joshua Wood

If you need a romantic night out, why not kick it up a level and head into Manhattan? Here is a great night out on the Big Apple:

Stop #1:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

After viewing some of the greatest works of art in the world, enjoy a cocktail and breathtaking views of Manhattan on the Roof Garden Cafe. There's no better way to start your evening than to sip a relaxing beverage on the roof of one of best museums in the world. If the weather fails to cooperate with your plans, on Fridays and Saturdays try instead the Great Hall Balcony Bar. Live classical music and cocktails overlooking the great hall is hard to beat.

Stop #2:

Shaffer City Oyster Bar & Grill

Head down 5th Avenue from the Met to one of the best Raw Bars in the city. A beautiful atmosphere combined with delicious seafood provides the perfect venue for appetizers. Dozens of varieties of oysters and other treasures from the sea will send you off to Stop #3 with a big smile on your face.

Stop #3:

The Harrison

Okay, this is a bit of a ride down to Tribeca, but it is well worth the trip. The Harrison offers hearty American fare crafted to gourmet perfection. The menu is quite affordable given what it contains and the environment in which it is served. Lamb, Fish, Chicken Steak and more have never been so fulfilling. And don't forget to try their desserts!
